Since 1979
Rinaldo J. Gonzalez, CPA, PC was started in 1979 by local practitioner Rinaldo Gonzalez after several years of practice in the San Antonio office of a large national firm. In 2019, Rinaldo Gonzalez teamed up with Gabriela Black to form Gonzalez & Black, PLLC, Certified Public Accountants. From the start the objectives of the new firm were to serve the accounting and tax needs of individuals and businesses in the small to middle markets, professionals, non-profits and other organizations in San Antonio and South Texas. The firm and its team of professionals are dedicated to satisfying the requirements of a growing clientele by providing timely and expert service and by providing a personal level of involvement with each client. Our tax and accounting practice focuses on closely held businesses and professionals always stressing client needs with timely and accurate advice, tax planning and personal touch.

Rinaldo Gonzalez, CPA
Managing Partner
Experience: CPA in public accounting for more than forty years. Ten years with a national accounting firm, in charge of health industry audits. Previous practice included audits of commercial organizations, non-profits, and employee benefit plans. Current practice includes over-all responsibility for tax and accounting services rendered to a wide variety of business and individual clients.
Rinaldo’s community involvement includes present board member of Methodist Healthcare System, and past board member of Crosspoint and Methodist Healthcare Ministries.
Licensed in Texas
Education: BBA in Accounting, Cum Laude, from St. Mary’s University.

Gabriella Black, CPA
Partner
Experience: Nineteen years with Rinaldo J. Gonzalez, CPA, PC as an auditor and tax manager, where she participated in audits of non-profit and commercial organizations, and provided accounting, tax and consulting services to businesses and individuals. Became a partner in 2019 for Gonzalez & Black, PLLC. Experience includes assisting start-ups with entity choice and structuring, managing the tax department, and review of Federal and State returns for businesses and individuals.
Gabriela’s community involvement includes present board member of Child Advocates of San Antonio and American Heart Association.

Experience You Can Trust
Michael Valadez, CPA
Tax Senior
Seven years of audit, tax, and accounting experiences as a senior accountant with Ernst & Young in both San Antonio and Houston offices, Public Industry in Houston, and a CPA practice in Alice and San Antonio, Texas. Past experience includes audits of large and small public and private entities within the medical services, financial services, oil & gas, construction, government & non-profit, and many other industries. Current experience includes preparation of Federal and State tax returns for businesses and individuals as well as IRS and State representation including audit support services for individuals, partnerships, corporations and other entities.

Education: BBA in Accounting, Masters in Professional Accounting and Minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin.

Linda Rodriguez
Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper
Experience: Nineteen years of tax and accounting experience. Experience includes accounting and bookkeeping using different accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Creative Solutions, and preparation of Federal and State returns for businesses and individuals in various industries.
Education: Linda is currently studying to receive her BBA in Accounting.

Rose Ann Hune
Administrative Assistant
Experience: Three years of experience as a receptionist and office manager. Her responsibilities include reception, phone duties, and coordinating office activities and events. She is also responsible for intra-office communications and billings, accounts payable, and various office duties.
Rose Ann’s community involvement is participating in the Head for the Cure 5k Walk/Run.
